FOB ORIGIN/SHIPPING POINT .... FREIGHT COLLECT/PRE-PAID BY PURCHASERThe term “origin” means that the buyer assumes title of the goods the moment the freight carrier takes control of the item being shipped. The buyer also assumes risk of transportation, and therefore is responsible for filing claims in the case of loss or damage. The “freight collect” part means the buyer is responsible for the freight charges. For the purpose of our transactions, estimated shipping is paid by the purchaser in advance.
We are not responsible for estimating, or paying Customs Duties, Fees, Taxes, and or Brokerage Costs. Also we are not responsible for any product(s) delayed, held or seized by Customs or Government Agents: it is the importer’s responsibility to know and abide by all laws, codes, and restrictions.
Some of our crates are currently shipped through various international shipping agents from our warehouse in Canada. We carefully pack the crates, and they are then inspected and approved before closing, by an authorized agent. The shipments are insured for the maximum amount allowed by the individual carriers. You can save on shipping by opting out of the insurance, but as stated above, the receiver is responsible as soon as the shipment leaves our control.
